Boys Basketball: Pierz pulls away from SRR down stretch in Cathedral tourney finale

Senior Preston Weber sunk five three-point shots to lead the Pierz boys basketball team over Sauk Rapids-Rice (SRR) 61-56, Friday.
Weber finished with 17 points and seven assists in the seventh-place game of the St. Cloud Cathedral holiday tournament.
Senior Logan Meyer had 15 points, including two on clutch free throws with 10 seconds remaining to clinch the win.
Senior Caleb Janson and junior Mitch Bednar scored eight points each and teamed up for 17 rebounds.
Senior Dylan Smieja had seven points and three assists, junior Jess Kasper had four points and five rebounds and senior Michael Marshik added two points.
Pierz plays at Holdingford, Tuesday.
