A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Marvin was born July 12, 1934, in Little Falls, to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Borash) Doucette. He was united in marriage to Audrey Mallak, Nov. 22, 1965, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski. The couple resided in the Freedhem and Little Falls area until moving to Little Falls in 2004. Marvin farmed and worked road construction; but most of all he was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time on the computer and visiting with family and friends. Marvin was a life member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather (papa) who will be greatly missed.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Audrey Doucette of Little Falls; son, Mark S. (Kristine) Doucette of Nisswa; daughters, Karen M. Doucette (Michael Hopman) of Hastings and Sharon M. Doucette (Brian Srsen) of Cottage Grove; grandchildren, Eric Doucette (girlfriend Bethany), Andrew Doucette, Austin Doucette, Ian Hopman, Fay Doucette, Wyatt Srsen, Adelia Hopman, Brady Doucette, Brody Srsen; brother, Leonard (Clara) Doucette of Little Falls and Louis (Agnes) Doucette of Cushing; sister, Lorraine Carlson of Arden Hills; aunt, Florence Houle of Little Falls; uncles, Florian Borash and Leonard Nelson; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Doucette; granddaughter, Ashley Doucette; brother-in-law, Leonard Carlson; grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and uncles.
