Boys Nordic Skiing: Massman, Zimny pace Flyers at Mesabi East Invite

The Little Falls boys Nordic skiing team earned 38th out of 60 at Saturday’s Mesabi East Invite at Giants Ridge.

Senior Preston Zimny placed 37th in the freestyle (15:17.4) to lead the boys team, while sophomore Mathew Massmann finished with Little Falls’ top classic time in 19:22.9.

Junior Isaiah Korver (19:45.8) and senior Nathan Almen (27:59) were the Flyers’ next finishers in the classic race, while sophomore John Gottwalt (17:17.3) and junior Brian McNamara (17:19.2) came in after Zimny in the freestyle.

Little Falls is scheduled to race in St. Cloud, Thursday.
