Laura Gross, 88

Laura A. (Pacholl) Gross, a resident of Sartell, died Jan. 9, 2012, at home, surrounded by her family. Laura died as she lived, with courage and dignity surrounded by love.

As per Laura’s request, the services will be private.

Laura married Lloyd Gross in El Paso, Texas, July 7, 1945, while he was recuperating from being injured in World War II. Laura’s first passion in life was her family. She was always there when she was needed, in person or just a phone call away. All the grandchildren received special attention and love from their grandmother. Laura’s second passion was playing cards with her friends. She became the “queen of cards” at her apartment complex and encouraged all newcomers to the complex to get involved. There will be an empty chair for quite a while.

Laura is survived by her husband, Lloyd, her five children, Gordon (Lilliana), Floyd “Buzz,” (Susan Lamberty), Kathleen, Sandra (Reuben Kelzenberg) and Harvey (Jane Marshik), 11 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and three sisters.

The family would like to thank everyone at the Grandview Estates for all the love and support.
