Wrestling: Kifer wins title for LF, Poster and Lange take first for Royals at Bemidji Invite

Royalton-Upsala senior Andy Poster, left, and sophomore Mitch Lange captured their 100th career victories while winning their weight classes at Saturday's Rick Lee Invite in Bemidji.

The Little Falls wrestling team placed third out of 10 squads at the Bemidji Rick Lee Invite, Saturday.

Dillon Kifer led the way for the Flyers by winning the 145-pound weight class.

Frank Wilczek and Connor Scherping also reached the finals for Little Falls, placing second.

Justin Jenks, Axel Lange and Adam Grams wrestled back to third place and Jordan Petrone, Joe Reis and David Copa each earned fourth place.

Royalton-Upsala placed seventh at the tournament, led by champions at 126 in senior Andy Poster and 160 in sophomore Mitch Lange.

Both wrestlers earned their 100th career victory and Poster was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.
