Wrestling: Seventh-ranked Milaca slows down Flyers 47-25

The seventh-ranked Milaca Wolves knocked off Little Falls 47-25 Friday in a Granite Ridge Conference wrestling dual.
Milaca won five of the first six matches to jump out to a 29-3 lead, then held off the Flyers in the upper weights for the win.
Connor Scherping picked up Little Falls’ first win at 132 with a 6-4 decision.
Dillon Kifer recorded a quick fall, followed by wins from Luke Lodermeier (9-5) and Jordan Petrone (11-3) to cut the team gap to 29-16, before a fall pushed the Wolves lead back out to 35-16.
Adam Grams earned a 12-5 decision at 182 and Trysten Ross pinned his opponent at 220.
