Girls Basketball: Sauk Rapids-Rice edges Flyers 47-46

Little Falls junior Jamie Jenks scored 14 points and senior Mariah Burns had 10 points and 10 rebounds against the Sauk Rapids-Rice (SRR) girls basketball team, Tuesday.

However, the Storm managed to escape with a 47-46 road win over the Flyers in a defensive struggle.

SRR shot 33 percent from the floor and Little Falls shot only 20 percent.

Seniors Annie Ploof and Whitney Weisz each scored six points, while seniors Jessica Hanowski (4), Britian Conley (2) and Jennifer Hortness (2) and sophomore Jennifer Ronning (2) also scored.

Ploof had six assists and five steals and Hanowski grabbed six rebounds.

Little Falls plays at Princeton, Thursday.
