Wrestling: Piwowar, Scott earn pins as 11th-ranked Huskers roll over BBE

The 11th-ranked Holdingford wrestling team earned a 39-22 Central Minnesota Conference road win, Tuesday, taking down Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (BBE).

Senior Galen Piwowar and freshman Zach Scott picked up falls for Holdingford.

Piwowar’s pin started a streak of seven consecutive wins for the Huskers in the middle weights to seize control of the dual.

Junior Trevor Scott, sophomore Jordan Gombos and freshman Jake Knettel picked up major decisions and senior Mike Jarnot received a forfeit to also accumulate bonus points.

Sophomores Kyle Gerads and Mitch Messman and freshman Nathan Brinker won by decision.

Holdingford wrestles at a tri at Albany with Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Tuesday.
