Wrestling: Royals cruise past LPGE

Seventh grader Ty Held picked up the first of Royalton-Upsala wrestling team’s four pins against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (LPGE), Tuesday, notching his first career win and helping lead the Royals to a 48-19 home victory.

Senior Austin Hackett, junior Cory Wensmann and eighth grader Kyle Lange also earned falls for Royalton-Upsala.

Senior Andy Poster, sophomore Tony Gadacz, freshman Brady Moulzolf and eighth grader Brad Kroll recorded bonus-point wins and sophomore Mitch Lange won by a 10-3 decision.

Royalton-Upsala returns to the mat with a tri at Browerville-Eagle Valley, along with Bertha-Hewitt, Tuesday.
