Girls Basketball: Cathedral pulls away from Little Falls in second half to snatch second place in GRC

The St. Cloud Cathedral girls basketball team broke open a two-point halftime lead in the second half at Little Falls, Tuesday, picking up a 73-61 Granite Ridge Conference (GRC) win.

Both teams entered the game with 4-1 conference records, with Cathedral pulling into sole possession of second place in the GRC with the win.

Senior Whitney Weisz dominated in the paint, scoring 21 points while pulling down 16 rebounds and blocking seven shots.

Junior Jamie Jenks added 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists and senior Annie Ploof netted 14 points.

Senior Makayla Jorgensen posted four points, seven rebounds and five assists, while senior Mariah Burns (3) and sophomore Jennifer Ronning (2) capped the scoring.

Little Falls hosts Alexandria, Thursday.
