Girls Basketball: Upsala cruises past LPGE, remains perfect in Prairie

The Upsala girls basketball built a 39-30 halftime lead, then pulled away in the second half for an 80-60 win at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Tuesday.
The Cardinals remained perfect in the Prairie Conference with the win, improving to 9-0.
Junior Aimee Pelzer and senior Kimmy Mrozek combined for 41 points and each pulled down six rebounds to lead Upsala.
Pelzer also dished out nine assists.
Senior Kaitlyn Wuebkers and junior Tracy Herzog each added 12 points and teamed up for 15 rebounds.
Junior Sadie Welinski had nine points and seven rebounds, senior Donna Ripplinger had four points and six assists and junior Alissa Zehrer added two points.
Upsala plays at Onamia, Tuesday.
