Sophomore Rachelle LeBlanc won two events to take first place in the all-around (36.1), but Alexandria was able to defeat host Little Falls 135.95-129.175, in Tuesday’s gymnastics meet.

In addition to winning on vault (9.15) and floor exercise (9.3), LeBlanc placed second on bars (8.65) and beam (9.0).

Junior Amanda Hanson earned top-five finishes on vault (8.55) and bars (7.4) to place sixth in the all-around (31.05) and junior Carly Atkinson placed in the top five on beam (8.575).

LeBlanc, Atkinson, Hanson, senior Staci Stein and eighth grader Sarah Stout each stuck their beam routines for the Flyers.

“I can’t remember that happening very often at all,” co-head coach Shelley LeBlanc said. “We were very, very pleased with our beam squad tonight.”

Little Falls next competes at St. Cloud Cathedral along with St. Cloud Tech, Monday.
