Girls Basketball: Rockford sinks Pioneers at buzzer

The Pierz girls basketball rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit, but Rockford Area sank the game-winner as time expired to pick up a 62-60 Central Minnesota Conference (CMC) win, Friday.

Senior Lindsay Monson scored 15 points and sophomore Bridget Bednar added 14 to lead Pierz offensively.

Monson also grabbed 10 rebounds to post a double-double and also picked up four steals.

Senior Lisa Langer (10) and juniors Megan Boser (9), Alyssa Boser (8), Michaela Rocheleau (2) and Elizabeth Tomala (2) rounded out the scoring.

Megan Boser also had eight rebounds and four assists, Alyssa Boser had five rebounds and Langer had four steals.
