Boys Basketball: Weber, Janson spark Pierz rout over Staples-Motley

The senior duo of Preston Weber and Caleb Janson provided all of the offense the Pierz boys basketball team needed Friday, as the Pioneers rolled past Staples-Motley 83-41.

Weber finished the night with 27 points, five rebounds and four steals and Janson recorded 25 points and 18 rebounds.

Janson had 22 points and 17 rebounds in the first half.

Junior Jess Kasper was the next highest scorer with eight points and seven rebounds.

Seniors Dylan Smieja (7), Logan Meyer (6), Ian Engen (4), Michael Marshik (4) and Tyler Kieffer (2) rounded out the scoring for Pierz.

The Pioneers host Eden Valley-Watkins tonight.
