Boys Basketball: Mollner scores 24, but Eagle Valley recovers from slow start to top Swanville

Junior Austin Mollner drained 24 points and hauled in 10 rebounds, but his double-double wasn’t enough for Swanville, Tuesday, as Eagle Valley pulled out an 80-70 road win.

The Bulldogs started the game strong, building 10-0 lead, but the Eagles slowly pulled closer before tying the score 34-34 at halftime.

Eagle Valley took control early in the second half and then fought off several Swanville rallies.

Junior Colten Kruzel filled the box score with 15 points, six assists, five rebounds and five assists.

Senior Derek Pfeiffer had 11 points and four assists, freshman Jordan Sales had seven points, seven rebounds and seven blocks and junior Tren Dinius added five points and three steals.

Swanville plays at West Central Area, Friday.
