The Great River Arts Association (GRAA) announces two exhibits currently on display in its satellite galleries. A collection of pieces from St. Joseph artist Jill Dubbeldee Kuhn, are at the Morrison County Government Center.
Kuhn works to bring timeless “slice of life” images to life using vibrant colors in acrylic. Kuhn is an accomplished artist and mother of three. She currently works as the Interim Gallery Director at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University. Accomplished in many forms of art, she has 75 murals since 1993, including murals featured at St. Cloud area schools and Holdingford Elementary School and has even created the artwork for a children’s book.
St. Cloud artist Marilyn Clement is featured at the Family Medical Center. Clement works in water- color and became interested in painting after viewing a program about acrylic painting on Public Television. She has been painting ever since and divides her time between St. Cloud and Arizona during the year. After becoming interested in gardening, she and her daughter Renee have gone on to become Master Gardeners as of 2006. From this interest, one can see her passion for painting flower and nature scenes. Clement has been featured in several successful shows and has also illustrated a children’s book.
Both shows are free and open to the public through February.
