Eagle Valley didn’t have just one player to try to contain against the Royalton girls basketball team, Thursday.

It had 10, as that many Royals found the scoring column en route to a 60-44 Prairie Conference win.

With the win, Royalton now has a winning record in the conference at 6-5.

The Royals seized control of the game early with strong shooting, led by senior Amy Vannurden.

Vannurden finished the night with a team-high 13 points and also hauled in four rebounds.

Junior Kandy Meyer followed with nine points and sophomore Emily Fussy had eight.

Also scoring were junior Kalee Petron (7), seniors Erika Zimmerman (5), Allison Popp (4), Bridget Tschida (4) and Megan Wiener (4), junior Hannah Fussy (4) and senior Kelsey Petron (2).

Royalton hosts Pillager, Monday.
