The Royalton-Upsala won the opening five matches against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (HLWW) to build a 27-0 lead, Thursday.
That fast start proved to be critical in a 40-33 win, as the Lakers were able to take six of the final nine matches of the dual.
The Royals also met up with second-ranked host Kimball Area in the tri meet, falling 56-15.
Senior Andy Poster won both of his matches on the night to improve to 27-0 on the season.
Sophomores Matt Neu and Shawn Urbanski also earned a pair of wins, with Neu earning a fall and a forfeit and Urbanski taking two decisions.
