The Royalton boys basketball team put together a strong offensive night, but couldn’t slow down host Eagle Valley, Friday, falling 81-67.

Junior Matt Silbernick paced the Royals with 21 points and 13 rebounds and senior Steve Hoff picked up 19 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Seniors Tyler Makela (9) and Dan Anshus (5) and juniors Justin Opatz (3) and Luke Wentland (2) also scored.

“You won’t beat many teams allowing 80 plus points,” head coach Randy Thielges said. “We simply must defend better if we hope to make a strong playoff appearance.”

Royalton returns to the court with a home against West Central Area, Friday.
