Unique Styles will be hosting Royalton’s first annual Hair and Fashion Show Sunday, March 4. The event begins at 2 p.m. at the Royalton American Legion. It is free to all who attend.
“It’s going to be lots of fun,” said Ellie Holm, owner of Unique Styles, a hair solon on 170th Avenue, north of Royalton. “There will be something for every woman who attends.”
The show is being promoted by Holm and three other women to show off just a few of the small businesses in the area.
“Advertising is expensive,” said Holm. “This event will bring customers to the vendors in the show.”
The event now has nine vendors signed up. They include The Clothesline from Pierz, Magic Nails from Little Falls, Buds to Blossoms from Royalton, Studio T. Reis Photography from Bowlus, Dee’s Professional Decorating from Little Falls, Amp Fitness from Pierz, Fussy Entertainment, Deb Cole’s specialty cakes and Unique Design.
The event will have a runway show with 30 models beginning at 2:30 p.m. The focus will be on hair, clothing and flowers.
Unique Styles will show off special occasion hairdos for proms, weddings and special occasions. They will feature the newest trends in cuts and colors.
The clothing will be for women of all ages, shown by the Clothesline. Flowers will be by Buds and Blossoms.
“We will be showing some avant garde hair styles,” said Jodi Brown who works with Holm at Unique Styles and is one of the event promoters. “Those styles are a bit over the top, but fun.”
The models will mingle with the guests after the show to answer questions and be available for pictures.
Door prizes will be given away during the intermission of the runway show. Throughout the day, each vendor will have special promotions and booking deals.
Also during the show, free massages will be given by Gretchen Miller who also works at Unique Styles.
