Same two teams, nearly identical results.
After defeating Foley 62-53 earlier in the season, the Little Falls girls basketball team topped them again Thursday, this time 63-53.
“It was a complete team effort tonight,” head coach Deb Yliniemi-Ahlin said. “We dominated the offensive boards and we were patient in the half-court sets.”
At the center of the action was senior Whitney Weisz, who posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Junior Jamie Jenks led the Flyers from the perimeter with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Freshman Kendra Pohlman stepped in with nine points and senior Jennifer Hortness picked up eight points and seven rebounds.
Senior Britian Conley (4), sophomore Jennifer Ronning (3) and seniors Mariah Burns (2) and Makayla Jorgensen (2) also scored.
Little Falls plays at Sartell-St. Stephen, Tuesday.
