Girls Basketball: Royalton topples Browerville 66-36

Royalton remained perfect in February, Monday, topping Browerville 66-36 for its fourth win in a row.

The Royals received another balanced effort from their offense, with four players scoring at least 10 points.

Junior Kalee Petron was the leader, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Senior Megan Wiener and junior Kandy Meyer each had 11 points and sophomore Emily Fussy netted 10.

Seniors Bridget Tschida (5) and Amy Vannurden (4), junior Hannah Fussy (4) and seniors Erika Zimmerman (3) and Kathy Hohmann (2) also scored.

Vannurden had a team-high six steals.

The Royals forced 28 turnovers in the game.

“Hopefully the team is coming together at the right time,” head coach Jeff Schoenrock said. “We have had different people step it up each game in our current winning streak.”

Royalton hosts Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Thursday.
