Girls Basketball: Upsala tops Osakis 53-45, remains perfect in Prairie

The Upsala girls basketball team remained unbeaten in Prairie Conference action, Friday, outlasting second-place Osakis 53-45.

The Cardinals stormed out of the gates with a 13-2 run, fueled by a trio of three-pointers by junior Aimee Pelzer.

However, the Silverstreaks got right back in it, seizing a 20-17 lead late in the first half, before Upsala went on a 9-2 run to go into the break ahead 26-22.

Pelzer went 5-for-7 from behind the arc, finishing the night with 24 points.

Senior Kailtyn Wuebkers followed with 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Senior Kimmy Mrozek added nine points and junior Tracy Herzog chipped in four.
