Gymnastics: LeBlanc captures GRC all-around championship

Sophomore Rachelle LeBlanc garnered the first-ever Granite Ridge Conference all-around championship, Saturday, taking the crown with a score of 36.6.

LeBlanc earned event wins on floor exercise (9.6) and beam (9.2) and placed second on bars (8.8).

Junior Carly Atkinson also placed in the top 10 on beam, earning eighth (8.375).

Eighth grader Sarah Stout finished in 13th in the all-around (30.925).

LeBlanc and Atkinson earned All-Conference honors and junior Amanda Hanson was honorable mention.

Little Falls placed third in the five-team field.

The Flyers compete at the Section 8A meet at Fergus Falls, Saturday.

Among the teams competing will be eight-time defending state champion Perham.
