Boys Basketball: Five players reach double figures as Pierz stifles Albany

Five players reached double figures as the Pierz boys basketball team employed a balanced attack to take apart Albany 67-51, Tuesday.
Senior Caleb Janson led the effort for the Pioneers, scoring 16 points and securing seven rebounds.
Senior Preston Weber and junior Cullin Carter each contributed 12 points, junior Mitch Bednar sank 11 and junior Jess Kasper had 10.
Carter added seven rebounds and four steals.
Junior Josh Templin (4) and senior Logan Meyer (2) also scored.
“I was very pleased with our balanced scoring tonight,” head coach Danny Saehr said. “We got in some foul trouble and really had some guys step up.”
Pierz hosts Rockford Area, Friday.
