Girls Basketball: Sartell knocks off Little Falls 59-39

The Little Falls girls basketball team matched Sartell-St. Stephen shot-for-shot, Tuesday, with each team shooting 35 percent from the field.

But in the end, a 27-12 turnover edge led the Sabres to a 59-39 non-conference win over the visiting Flyers.

Senior Whitney Weisz was the scoring leader for Little Falls, netting 17 points.

Senior Jennifer Hortness followed with 10 points, junior Jamie Jenks had nine and senior Mariah Burns added three.

Jenks also had a team-high seven rebounds and seven assists.

Little Falls returns to Granite Ridge Conference action Saturday with a home game against Mora.
