Minor injuries received in two school bus/vehicle crashes

Wednesday morning, a vehicle collided with a school bus on Nature Toad in Two Rivers Township in Western Morrison County, and another vehicle hit a school bus on Highway 25 and 173rd Street in Eastern Morrison County.

Jordan Wentland, 21, of Royalton, hit a patch of ice about 7:15 a.m. on Nature Road and drove underneath a Holdingford school bus. He was transported to a hospital by private vehicle. His vehicle was totalled. No one on the school bus was reported as injured.

The second incident occurred about 8:02 a.m., when 18-year-old Krista Tretter of Hillman did not see a school bus stopped to pick up children due to foggy conditions. When she applied the brakes, her vehicle spun out and she hit the side of the school bus. No one on the bus or children waiting to board the bus were injured. Tretter was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital with minor injuries. Her vehicle was severely damaged.
