A funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 18, at Love of Christ Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. Burial will in the Nashwauk Cemetery, Monday, Feb. 20, 2012.
Wesley Ellsworth Israelson was born April 15, 1928, in Hillman, to the late Iver and Jenny (Talberg) Israelson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Delrose Gaynor, Oct. 16, 1954, and together they had four children. Wesley was a longtime member of the Carpenters Local Union 361. He attended Love of Christ Lutheran Church.
Wesley is survived by his children: Deborah “Frenchie” (Lucas) McDonald of St. Paul, Shelley (Tim) Kantos of Sartell, Leslie (James) Christian of Hibbing and Gregory (Carolyn) of Bovey; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Lena Kachmarzinski of Mt. Iron; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Delrose; three brothers and two sisters.
