Hoheisel convicted of second degree burglary
Brandon Anthony Hoheisel, 24, Brainerd was sentenced Feb. 22, in Morrison County District Court with one felony count of second degree burglary.
On June 30, 2011, the Pierz Police Department received a report that cash, liquor, beer, wine, a DVD player, a basket and an MP3 player adapter cord had been taken from a motor home. The victim said it seemed as if every door and drawer in the home had been opened and contents ransacked.
A neighbor told police he had seen two people going toward the motor home at about 12:40 a.m. The officer checked with Pierz residents, who mentioned Hoheisel’s name, since he had recently returned to town after serving a prison sentence for burglary.
When confronted with the burglary, Hoheisel at first told the officer he had no knowledge of the incident, but later admitted to the theft.
Hoheisel was sentenced to the correctional facility in St. Cloud for 33 months, stayed for 10 years; fined $1,164; and given 10 years of supervised probation.
