LF student signs with Jamestown volleyball
Jamestown College head volleyball coach Jon Hegerle announced Lexi Kapsner of Little Falls has signed a letter of intent to enroll at Jamestown College, N.D., next year and will play volleyball for the Jimmies.
Kapsner, a 5-foot libero, is an honorable mention All-Conference selection and North Central All-Star who recorded 327 digs and 31 aces her senior season. She was named her team’s Defensive Player of the Year.
“In working with Lexi the past couple of summers, it quickly became evident that she is a total team player,” Hegerle said. “Her ability to relate and inspire her teammates is what made her stand out and is one of the things that I am looking forward to as Lexi continues her volleyball career at Jamestown College. Lexi has been a tremendous leader in her high school program and I am confident that she will have a great impact on Jamestown College as a student athlete.”
Kapsner has also been active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Flyer Activity Leadership Council, softball, National Honor Society and manager for track and wrestling. The daughter of Kevin and Nancy Kapsner, she plans to major in elementary education at Jamestown College.
