For those whose goal is to get in shape, “Running 101” may help as it takes participants through the beginning stages of fitness by walking and jogging.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to complete a 5K run.
This is for beginner and intermediate runners and is not an advanced class.
Participants should be able to walk 20 minutes comfortably before the class begins.
Class dates start April 3 and are from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. There is a fee for the class.
Participants in “Running 201” program will begin with jogging, progress to longer distances and will be introduced to speed work.
They will be able to complete a 10K at the end of the program. Class dates for “Running 201” start April 3 and are from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
There is a fee for the class, which includes 12 weeks of training, running schedules, a T-shirt and a runner’s guide.
Registration is available online for both classes, by mail or in person at the Little Falls Community Service office, 14800 Riverwood Dr., Little Falls.
People registering are asked to include their e-mail address and T-shirt size.
