Doty, Welle to seek DFL endorsements for Senate and House seats

During the Morrison County DFL convention March 10, former representative, Al Doty of Royalton, announced that he will seek the endorsement for State Senate District 9. Doty also visited the Todd and Wadena county conventions over the weekend. Adrian Welle of Pierz announced that he is seeking endorsement for House 9B. Welle is a Pierz City Council members and is the city clerk for Upsala. He also visited the Todd County convention.

Jeff Anderson, Taryl Clark and Rick Nolan, all candidates for the 8th District Congressional seat held by Republican Chip Cravaack, attended the convention. Congressional District 8 Chair, Don Bye, spoke on the importance of the endorsement process which begins with the local caucus. It gives voters an opportunity to know the candidates seeking endorsement helping them to make  educated choices.

Twenty resolutions were passed to be forwarded on to the state. Morrison County DFL officers and directors were also elected. Forty-nine delegates attended and they elected delegates to the Congressional District 8 and state convention.
