Eden Prairie School Board selects top five superintendent candidates

The Eden Prairie School Board has chosen five semi-finalists who will go through final interviews for the superintendent position.
The school board selected the five during a meeting Monday, March 12, according to a district release. The five will have their first round of interviews Wednesday, March 14. They will take place in the Board Room at the school district’s Administrative Services Center, 8100 School Road.
Following the Wednesday interviews, the school board will meet 4 p.m. to select the final two to three candidates.
The community will have several opportunities to see the interview process, give feedback and meet the finalists before the school board makes its final decision, scheduled to happen during a meeting scheduled 9 a.m. Friday, March 23.

9 a.m. — Dr. Nancy Allen-Mastro, Assistant Superintendent, Bloomington Public Schools
10:15 a.m. — Dr. Michael Meissen, Superintendent, Glenbard Township HS District 87, Lombard, Ill.
11:30 a.m. — Curt Tryggestad, Superintendent, Little Falls Public Schools
1:30 p.m. — Dr. Nancy Rajanen, Superintendent, Waconia Public Schools
2:45 p.m. — Dr. Gerald Hill, Superintendent, Glenview School District 34, Glenview, Ill.

Finalists process
The final interviews will take place on March 20, 21 and 22. Each finalist will be scheduled for an all-day visit and interview process on one of the three days that will include meeting with a variety of small groups, taking a tour of the district and a final interview with the school board.
Each evening, one candidate will be available at a session from 5-6 p.m. in the board room of the districtís Administrative Services Center where parents, community members, staff and students are invited to ask questions of and interact with the candidate. Attendees will also have an opportunity to complete a feedback form that will be shared with the board. These sessions are scheduled for:
Tuesday, March 20, 5-6 p.m.
Wednesday, March 21, 5-6 p.m.
Thursday, March 22, 5-6 p.m.
After the public meeting, each candidate will have a second interview with the school board at 7 p.m. in the board room.
