Help needed with family history
To the Editor:
Greetings from Manitoba Canada.
I am doing a family history of my ancestors who were of Irish descent. They traveled in 1847 from Ireland during the potato famine to Quebec, Canada.
They eventually homesteaded land in Soxiville, Wis. In 1880 my great-great-grandfather Thomas Emerson sold his farm in Wisconsin and moved with his family to Little Falls.
Thomas Emerson became a farmer and from census records he obtained a farm with the mailing address Belle Prairie Road. Thomas Emerson died in 1902 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery.
I am wondering if any of your readers can help me locate the farm Thomas Emerson lived at.
I am planning a trip to Little Falls this summer and I would appreciate any information your readers could provide to me. My mailing address is: Lynne Weedon, Box 626, Doloraine, Manitoba, ROM OMO, Canada and my e-mail is email@example.com — Lynne Weedon, Manitoba, Canada
