PAC event focused on protecting teens

The Pierz Area Coalition (PAC) will sponsor a community presentation in the Pierz Healy High School Media Center, where parents can learn practical ways to protect their teens.

Monday, April 2, from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m., Nathan Sindt, the Regional Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug “ATOD” prevention coordinator for East Central Minnesota, will offer a presentation on risk and protective factors in regard to substance abuse. Students involved in PAC will speak on their efforts to encourage all students to not drink during their high school years.

“We desire all youths to be free from the influences of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by building a strong community where everyone is supported, challenged and expected to make wise choices and live a healthy lifestyle,” is the motto of PAC.
