Pierson sentenced for violating an order for protection
Mitchell Neil Pierson, 28, Blaine, was sentenced in Morrison County District Court March 8, with two misdemeanor counts of domestic abuse, violating an order for protection.
On April 19, 2010, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an order for protection violation in Pierz. A sheriff’s deputy met with the victim who identified Pierson as an ex-boyfriend who she had a restraining order against.
The victim also told the deputy that in January 2010, Pierson had raped her.
Pierson was sentenced to 90 days in jail and fined $420.
Michael Chisum of the County Attorney’s office said a felony charge of third degree criminal sexual conduct was dismissed against Pierson because the victim did not appear to testify.
