Senior Steve Hoff dashed home from third on a failed pickoff play to give Royalton a walkoff 4-3 season-opening win over Hancock at Spring Hill, Tuesday.

With the scored tied at 3-3, Hoff led off with a walk, stole second and was bunted to third by senior Tyler Sieben before scoring the decisive run.

Junior Matt Silbernick started for the Royals, going six innings without allowing an earned run on just two hits.

Hoff came on in the seventh and struck out the side to pick up the win.

Junior Noah Farrell had two of the Royals’ three hits and drove in a pair, with Silbernick picking up the other hit and scoring a run.

Royalton hosts Foley, Thursday.
