Pierz woman arrested for attempt to hire a hit man to kill ex-husband
Morrison County deputies arrested a Pierz woman Thursday, April 12, for conspiracy to commit first degree murder after she attempted to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband.
Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel said his office received information that Nancy Leon Meyer, 43, had attempted to hire someone to do the killing.
Wetzel said investigating deputies determined that Meyer had in fact solicited help from another individual and had even discussed payment for assistance in carrying out the murder.
Meyer was transported to the Morrison County Jail after her arrest and is currently being held pending the preparation of a formal complaint.
Wetzel said no further details would be made available until the investigation had been fully completed.
