Doc’s Auto is now Auto Docs

Meyer, who is single but has a girlfriend Tracy, grew up in the Hillman area, graduated from Pierz Healy High School and Brainerd Technical College with a degree in mechanics. He has been a mechanic for 20 years. He is also trained through the Automotive Service Excellence program (ASE).
Kunkel and his wife, Nancy, have three children Taylor, 16, who attends Little Falls High School, Abby, 14, and Thomas, 11, who attend Mary of Lourdes Middle School. Kunkel began his career with Miller’s Auto Center in 1987. In 1997, he moved to Moll Ford and in 2006, he moved to Brandl Motors. He is a graduate of St. Cloud Technical College.
Kunkel said, “We were both looking for a change. With our reputation after being in the area for 32 years, this was a good fit for us..”
Division of duties will have Meyer as shop manager, doing more of the heavy work.
Kunkel will be the office manager and do some of the smaller jobs.
“We plan on being customer oriented and to have good customer relations,”said Kunkel.
Donny “Doc” Hildebrant started the business in 1978, and has been in the present location since 1984. He said now that he has retired he is going to “enjoy life and spend time fishing.”
“I want to thank my loyal customers and hope they will continue to support Jason and Keith,” Hildebrant said.
Auto Docs is located at 104 Sixth St. in Little Falls.
The business will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment.
