The Upsala-Swanville Area (USA) baseball team erased a 3-0 deficit with a five-run fifth inning to edge host Pillager 5-4 in a rain-shortened contest, April 13.
Senior Travis Schneider reached base twice, scored a run and knocked in a run to lead the Patriots.
Juniors Eric Frieler and Tren Dinius each had a hit and scored a run and sophomore Eric Lampert knocked in a pair.
Junior Alec Griffith went the distance to earn the win on the mound, striking out four batters.
“Miserable game, but a win is a win,” USA head coach Ken Solarz said.
USA plays at Royalton, Tuesday.
