RHS students win in GWFC art contest
The Greater Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC) recently had its annual art contest. Carol Cassman, the representative from the Royalton chapter and central region, brought works from Royalton High School (RHS) students and came back with these first place award winners and the following words to describe the contest. “This year we had over 80 artists trying to place in different categories so the competition was very tough. As usual, Royalton High School students took home the most ribbons. Our community and high school should be very proud of their accomplishments. I know that I sure am,” said Cassman. Pictured are the RHS students who won at least one blue ribbon at the contest. They are front row (from left): Junior, Brady Lorenz and seniors, Curtis Makela and Becca Patton. Back row: Seniors, Andy Poster, Karissa Blaszak and Vanessa Ratke. These student-artists will represent the central region in the state art contest in Walker, May 4.
