Little Falls took control early at St. Cloud Cathedral, Thursday, scoring three runs in the first, four in the second and three more in the fourth en route to a 10-3 win.
Junior Jamie Jenks continued her torrid hitting for the Flyers, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, five RBIs and three runs scored.
Senior Britian Conley also provided plenty of offense with a pair of hits, two runs and an RBI.
Senior Makayla Jorgensen reached base four times, scoring three runs, and senior Brichelle Brummer drove in three as well for the Flyers.
Junior Chloe Nelson allowed only one earned run over five innings of work to earn the win before giving way to sophomore Alea Cekalla, who struck out six in two scoreless innings to finish the game.
“We played more like we should be playing today,” Little Falls head coach Ron Hinnenkamp said. “Our offense got us started in the first inning and our pitching took it from there. Probably most importantly, we played well as a team. If an error happened, someone always stepped up to make a big play to get us out of the jam. A true team effort.”
