After the Upsala-Swanville Area (USA) baseball team tallied two runs in the top of the first, Holdingford answered right back with two in the bottom of the inning, April 20.

There would be no answer from that point on, as the Cardinals struck for six in the second and proceeded to add four more over the next three innings en route to a 12-4 road win.

Juniors Brock Cichon and Eric Frieler each went 3-for-4 to lead USA at the plate, with Cichon driving in three runs and scoring three times.

Junior Colten Kruzel added two hits and two RBIs and senior Derek Pfeiffer reached base twice and scored two runs.

Junior Alec Griffith earned the win in relief after senior Travis Schneider pitched four innings without surrendering an earned run.
