The St. Francis Community Chorale will present a Spring Concert Sunday, April 29, at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls.
As the theme of the concert is water, the audience will enjoy a wide variety of songs reflecting our love of nature and spring. Some of the songs will include: “Down to the River to Pray,” “Wade in the Water,” “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” “Elijah Rock”and “Song Over the Water.” The second half of the concert will bring attendees back to their youth with songs such as: “Aquarius,” “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” “Orinoco Flow,” “Blue Skies,” Bridge Over Troubled Water”and more.
Also featured in the concert will be Brothers in Harmony, a men’s singing group conducted by Kathy Pederson.
The St. Francis Community Chorale is the culmination of a dream of St. Francis Music Center to create a community choir open to all teens and adults who love to sing together. The chorale meets Thursday evenings to rehearse and is open to all. Under the direction of Barb Stumpf, the chorale has steadily grown and more are welcome to join after the concert.
The concert is free and open to the public. The St. Francis Community Chorale is sponsored by a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature. For more information, call St. Francis Music Center at (320) 632-0637 or visit www.sfmusiccenter.org.
