Baseball: Little Falls annihilates Milaca 19-1, soars to top spot in rankings

The Little Falls baseball team pounded the Milaca pitching staff early and often, Tuesday, pummeling the visiting Wolves 19-1 to improve to 9-0 on the season.

Junior Collin Eckman led the 16-hit attack with a 4-for-5 performance, including a double, triple, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Senior Matt Valentine and junior Matt Stumpf each added three hits and two runs while combining to drive home five.

Senior Mitch Gregory picked up two hits, three RBIs and two runs, senior Luke Thoma scored three times and knocked in two and senior Michael Anderson singled and scored twice.

Junior Spencer Fenske struck out five batters over five innings to earn the complete-game win.

Little Falls hosts Mora, Thursday.
