Softball: Staples-Motley escapes early jam, knocks off Little Falls 5-1

The Flyers started Monday’s game at Staples-Motley strong, loading the bases with no outs in the top of the first.

But the Cardinals escaped the jam only allowing one run and would shut the door the rest of the way, topping Little Falls 5-1.

Seniors Makayla Jorgensen, Brichelle Brummer and Britian Conley and junior Jamie Jenks picked up the Flyers’ four hits.

Senior Chloe Nelson only allowed two earned runs in six innings of work.
