Track and Field: Little Falls boys dominate Mora meet, girls finish one point back

Junior Garrett Horejsi swept the hurdles as the Little Falls boys cruised to another first-place team finish at Mora, Tuesday.

Horejsi won the 110 hurdles (16.9) and the 300 hurdles (42.31) as the Flyers won nine events.

Also taking first were seniors Derek Toso in the 100 (11.4) and Preston Zimny in the 3,200 (10:03), juniors Jordan Petrone in the pole vault (11-feet, 9-inches), Seth Wester in the discus (140-feet) and Travis Spillum in the long jump (19-feet, 5-inches), sophomore Jalen Wuchko in the shot put (45-feet, 5.5-inches) and the 4×400 relay team of Horejsi, Petrone, Toso and sophomore Tim Infinger (3:32.64).

In the girls competition, junior Amber Hines and sophomore Rachelle LeBlanc were double winners as Little Falls came up just one point short of Princeton to earn second place.

Hines swept the throws with tosses of 35-feet, 6-inches in the shot put and 112-feet, 2-inches in the discus, while LeBlanc took first in the pole vault (10-feet, 3-inches) and anchored the winning 4×200 relay team led off by juniors Trista Saulter, Noelle Kurowski and Kallie Baumgartner (1:56.1).

Also taking first were sophomore Vanessa Meschke in the 400 (1:05.36) and junior Mattia Hendrickson in the 1,600 (5:41).

Little Falls returns to action at Milaca, Tuesday.
