Rich Collins, the incumbent District 3 County Commissioner, has announced that he will run for re-election to the seat in November.
Collins has been a commissioner for nearly four years and said he feels he has established a good working relationship with the cities and townships in District 3.
During his tenure, Collins has served on the following boards and committees: Great River Regional Library Board; Hands of Hope Board; Morrison County Fair Board; Morrison County Community Development Board; Little Falls/Morrison County Airport Commission; Emergency Services Board; Morrison County Soil and Water; Association of Minnesota Counties Environmental and Natural Resources Committee; is chair of the Yellow Ribbon Network of Morrison County and is a member of the Camp Ripley Veterans Service Trail committee and the Little Falls Lions. He is also a member and instructor of the National Rifle Association and is the chaplain for American Legion Post 137 in Royalton.
Collins has lived in Morrison County since 1978 and has been married to his wife, Linda, for 32 years.
