Kresha to seek GOP endorsement for House 9B seat, instead of Senate 9 seat
Ron Kresha announced today, Thursday, April 26, he will seek the Republican Party endorsement for Minnesota State Representative House 9B instead of the Senate District 9 open seat.
“My original intent for getting involved with politics has always been to be a strong local representative. When the Senate 9 seat opened up, I saw the opportunity to run alongside Rep. Mike LeMieur. After Rep. LeMieur’s decision not to seek reelection and much consideration, I see an opportunity for District 9 to be unified and very strong with excellent local representation,” said Kresha.
Kresha and his wife of 19 years, Wendy, have five kids. He is active at Our Lady of Lourdes parish, a pro-life advocate, an involved community member, co-founder of Atomic Learning and current president of Golden Shovel Agency. Kresha has also been a teacher, pheasant hunting guide and volunteer fishing guide for seniors.
Norm Siekman announced he will seek the GOP endorsement for House District 9B as well.
Current District 12 Sen. Paul Gazelka will seek the GOP endorsement for Senate District 9.
The GOP endorsing convention is set for Saturday, May 5, in Staples.
