Three of Mora’s first four batters of the game scored, but Little Falls was able to keep the visiting Mustangs off the board the rest of the way, Thursday, enabling the Flyers to stay undefeated with a 4-3 win.

After Mora jumped on top, Little Falls came right back with two runs in the bottom of the first on run-scoring hits by senior Joey Hanowski and junior Matt Stumpf to pull within one.

Junior Collin Eckman hit a leadoff triple and came in to tie the game on a balk in the third, then senior Luke Thoma broke the tie with an RBI single in the sixth.

The Mustangs loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, but sophomore reliever Nick Anderson got a pop out and ground out to keep Mora off the board and preserve the win.

Thoma started for the Flyers, striking out eight over 6 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

Hanowski and Stumpf each had a pair of hits.

Little Falls is scheduled to host Foley, Tuesday.
